Egypt condemns the Houthi attack on the Yemeni port of Daba .. and holds it responsible for escalation

Egypt denounced the Houthi group’s strike with two planes on the port of Al-Daba oil in Hadramout, southeast of Yemen, yesterday, and blamed them for the present rise in violence in the nation. This comes on Saturday.

According to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the Houthis should give up their “intransigent” stances and respond right away to regional and international efforts to restore the ceasefire in a way that prepares the way for political settlement efforts and a long-term ceasefire.

The declaration forewarned of the negative repercussions of “the exploitation of any party to the current international circumstances to fuel the conflict in Yemen and threaten the security and stability of the region and the methods of navigation, or an attempt to acquire the economic capabilities of the Yemeni people.

The Ministry also blamed the armed group for “obstructing” efforts to extend the cease-fire, and it emphasised Egypt’s unwavering support for Yemen’s sovereignty over its territory and unity in the face of all dangers.
On Friday, the Houthi group authorised the attack on the oil port of Al-Daba in the city of Mukalla, despite the Yemeni government’s declaration that it is considering all available options for retaliation.

Egypt denounces and holds accountable for the escalating the Houthi onslaught on the Yemeni port of Daba.
