In a heartbreaking and unbelievable incident, an Egyptian university professor tormented her child with fire because she felt compelled to plead for help.
The security services received a report from residents of Al-Issawi Street in Mansoura that a woman named “Israa Al-Sayed,” who works as a teaching assistant in one of the university colleges, tortured her son and called him “Muhammad” with fire, beatings, and the child’s distress to save him. This shocking incident was witnessed in the Dakahlia Governorate.
The university professor was detained by the security forces, and the boy who was with him confessed that his mother had forced him to scrounge for money on the streets and had tortured him with fire and irons all over his body after he refused to do so.
The 10 -year -old said that his mother was hitting him harshly and tortured him by Kia with fire to force him to wear torn clothes and begging in the streets away from the area where their house is located, and gave her the outcome of what he collects from begging daily.
The boy told the investigators about the physical signs of abuse on his body and the damaged clothing his mother had insisted he wear.
The prosecution, for its part, urged the security services to step up their inquiries into the incident in order to learn more about the specifics of it.
