Vladimir Zellinski, president of Ukraine, emulated Prince Yaroslav al-Hakim, head of the parliaments of its allied nations, to a second-degree.
Zelinski’s decree in this regard, which was published on Friday on the official website, includes the names of 13 people, including the President of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
Decorations were also granted to the President of the French Senate Gerard Lairehir, the Speaker of the Polish Parliament, Speaker of the Ireland Senate, and the heads of the parliaments of Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Northern Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia and Estonia.
According to the order, they received the awards in recognition of their “concrete individual contribution to strengthening international cooperation and maintaining the sovereignty and unity of Ukraine’s territory.
Earlier, Zellinski presented government medals to 109 foreign politicians, social and cultural leaders, and journalists, including Ursula von der Line, President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, Commissioner for Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Ladid Austin, Secretary and Defense Minister of the United States Anthony Blink, and Turkish Khalouk Bayrakdar, Director of the “Bacar” Drone Manufacturing Company.
