Egypt brings together gas exporting countries

The events of the twenty-fourth ministerial meeting of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries will take place in Cairo, Egypt, from October 23 to October 25, 2022.
The meeting will be held headed by the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the head of the Forum for the Forum for the year 2022 Tariq Al -Mulla.

The meeting is attended by the Secretary-General of the forum, Engineer Mohamed Hamel, as well as the ministers of oil and energy from 11 member countries as well as 8 countries that are observers. Participants include the permanent members Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela as well as Angola, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Malaysia, and Malaysia as observers.

Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla outlined how the gathering this year in Egypt is related to the country’s upcoming presidency of the forum’s ministerial council in 2022. He emphasized Egypt’s desire to use the gathering this year to hold an effective international discussion between member states that focuses on the future role of natural gas in the stage of transformation of energy as a cleaner fossil fuel and an energy source that is available at an affordable price.

He emphasized that Egypt is one of the original members of the forum and that it is looking forward to further fruitful cooperation under its auspices and successful outcomes from this meeting on Egyptian soil. Egypt is also one of the founding members of the forum.
It is important to remember that the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries was founded in 2001 and transferred to a global government agency with headquarters in Doha, State of Qatar, in 2008.
