Three members of the US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zellinski today, Friday, in the nation’s capital Kyiv, according to American media reports.
The American news channel “CNN” said that this is the first visit of a delegation from the US Congress to the city for more than a month, and the first since Russia began air strikes targeting the civil infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital and another major cities.

The head of the American delegation, MP Jim Hems, was quoted by the American channel as saying that his delegation’s visit was intended to “show solidarity with Ukraine,” which he claimed was “fighting for the democracy” and about which he cares deeply. He was photographed standing close to a drone attack site targeting a power plant in Kyiv.

“We all agreed that it was crucial for the two Americans to be present and make it clear that the American people and their government support the citizens of Ukraine and their government, respectively.
