Today, Thursday, the Executive Secretary of the International Conference of the Great Lakes area, Ambassador Jaw Samuel Kahula, and the Sudan’s Foreign Minister in charge met with Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq Ali.
According to a statement released by the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the Foreign Minister expressed Sudan’s gratitude to the executive secretary for his efforts to advance cooperation and coordination among member states. He also reaffirmed Sudan’s readiness to assume the organization’s presidency at the next session.
The executive secretary stated that he will continue to meet with all member states in order to advance the common goal and reiterated his belief in Sudan’s capacity to lead the group once it assumes the leadership in the upcoming term.
