Halep after stopping her for doping use: I feel betrayal

Simona Halep, a tennis player from Rome, admitted that she felt “confusion and betrayal” after being provisionally disqualified for failing a drug test.
Following the withdrawal of two samples from it during its participation in the American Open in August of last year, the International Tennis Federation Union said on Friday that Halep, 31, had been found guilty of taking the prohibited Roxadost.

On the seventh of October, Halep was told that she had broken the rules. As a result, she is currently fighting to continue competing in tennis tournaments.
By temporarily stopping it, the player is not permitted to take part in or attend any tennis championships hosted by the International Tennis Federation, according to a statement released by the Integrity Unit of the organization today, Friday.

While acknowledging that the punishment is “the worst shock” of her life, Halep denied knowing anything about the misuse of the prohibited material on behalf of the former France Open and Wimbledon champion.
In a message posted on social media, Halep said: “Today I began the most challenging match of my life, the struggle for the truth.”
The biggest shock of my life, she continued, was learning that I had been consuming Roxadosts in very little doses.

She explained: Throughout my career, I never once considered engaging in fraud because it absolutely conflicts with all the ideals that were established on it. Now that I find myself in such an unfair situation, I feel betrayed and profoundly puzzled.

The Roman player concluded by saying, “I will fight to the bitter end to prove that I have not been used to know, that is, a prohibited material, and confident that sooner or later the truth will appear, the matter is not related to titles or money, it is related to honour, and it is related to the story of love that I developed with the game of tennis at the end of 25 General.
