The Guardian reports that transport workers in the United Kingdom will go on strike again today, Saturday.

Hundreds of transport workers in the UK will walk off the job on Saturday as part of a protracted conflict about pay, employment opportunities, and working conditions.
The railway system, several train companies, bus services, and Sunday morning train services in London and parts of Surrey will all be impacted by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT), TSSA, and Unite unions’ strike.

According to the article, there would only be about five lines shut on Saturday, severely limiting rail travel. Only from 7.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. will trains run.
Due to a strike by Unite-affiliated London bus drivers on Friday and Saturday over a separate wage dispute, bus service has been disrupted in portions of Surrey and west and southwest London.
This week’s three-day public transit workers’ strike will end on Saturday.

Mick Lynch, president of the Rail, Marine and Transportation Union, apologized for the train inconvenience caused by the strike on Friday, but warned that it would not be the last if the conflict is not settled before next year’s pay discussions.
We are really sorry if folks are angry, Lynch added. We hope that others will sympathize with us. We’re just regular people that want to perform our jobs and help others. We can’t sit back and let our situation deteriorate.

Since we don’t understand what our members are talking about, we need to show that we’re serious about the future of services.
A representative from the Ministry of Transportation charged that union leaders deliberately chose to cause hardship by delaying travel.

According to The Guardian, British transport workers will strike once more today, on Saturday.
