Hundreds still without power in central Ontario following October snow fall

12,000 houses lost power on Thursday due to the early arrival of winter, and crews were still working on some areas’ power restoration on Friday.
Homes in the Bracebridge region will soon have power restored thanks to Lakeland Power and Hydro One’s efforts.
Heavy snow and downed trees, according to Lakeland Power, are to blame for the outage.
As of Friday morning at 8:40 a.m., 378 customers in the Bracebridge region are still experiencing power outages, according to Lakeland Power’s outage page.

By the end of the day on Friday, all Bracebridge homeowners should have their power back, according to Lakeland Power.
Residents are being advised by Hydro One to keep at least 10 meters away from any fallen power lines, even if they don’t appear to be live.
Calling Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235 and reporting fallen wires to the police are both options.

Following the October snowfall in central Ontario, hundreds remain without electricity.
