According to Morocco’s High Commission for Planning, the consumer price index grew 7.7% year on year in July.
Food prices increased by 12, non-food commodity prices increased by 5, and transportation expenditures increased by 18. 5 percent due to an increase in energy costs.
Month on month, the index climbed by 0.9%.
The core CPI, which excludes volatile goods, rose 6. 5 percent year on year and 0. 5 percent month on month.
Moroccan inflation in July reached 7.7 percent due to rising food prices.
