The world champion chess player from Norway, Magnus Carlson, is being sued for defamation by the American accused of cheating Hans Niman.
Through his Twitter account, Niman declared that he will sue Carlsen and added the following remark: “Supplications talk about herself.”
Niman, who is accused of cheating in more than 100 games on the Internet, seeks to obtain $ 100 million as compensation for the damage to his reputation and professional life.
The defendants in this action include Carlsen, the Norwegian Play Magnus Group, Danny Rinsh, Hikaro Nakamura, and Chess. com.
It is remarkable that the 19-year-old chess player engaged in fraud, even in games when financial rewards were awarded.
Nevertheless, Chess. com, which conducted the investigation, did not reach any conclusions about Niman’s performance in regular championships.
