Iman Najm will succeed the author Sabri Saeed, who attained pension age, as president of the external cultural relations sector, according to a decision made by Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture.
Iman Star previously took on the role of facilitating the Presidency of Foreign Culture’s activities in 2017 and oversaw a number of files in that capacity, most notably the file for Luxor, the capital of Arab culture, which worked to host numerous well-known artistic teams from Tunisia, Morocco, and some African nations to participate in activities in Luxor, the capital of Arab culture.
After a brief transition, Dr. Hisham Azmy’s secretariat was replaced by Najm al-Din as President of the Central Administration for Literary Affairs and Competitions at the Supreme Council of Culture in 2021.
It is worth noting, Minister of Culture, issued a decision to take over the director, Khaled Jalal – Head of the Cultural Production Affairs Sector – and the work of the head of the Central Administration of the Technical House of the Theater, along with his duties.
