Stephen Gerrard, the team coach at Aston Villa, was fired as a result of the squad’s poor Premier League performance.

On its official website, the team released a statement that read: “Aston Villa club can confirm that coach Stephen Gerrard has left the club.
The Aston Villa Football Club is able to confirm that Steven Gerrd, the club’s head coach, has resigned with immediate effect.
“We would like to thank Stephen for his serious effort and commitment and we wish him luck in the future,” a club spokeswoman said.
Aston Villa is seventeen with 9 points after 11 games, and the club will seek to improve its position in the Premier League table.
