The “alternative” fails again to obtain one of its deputies

Another attempt by the “Alternative for Germany” party to get one of its representatives elected as Vice-President of the Parliament has failed.
This was evident in the vote held by Parliament on Thursday, in which Peter Buringer, the Popular Right Party’s nominee for deputy speaker, received only 100 votes in favour, compared to 533 against, while 14 deputies chose not to participate in the vote.

During the last legislative session, Boringer served as the chair of the budget committee of the parliament.
There are 79 members of the alternative party in the German parliament right now.
It should be mentioned that the alternative party was absent from the presidency of Parliament since he was elected in 2017, when none of the party candidates won the necessary majority.

The party also failed in its effort to win the position of Vice-President of Parliament before the Federal Constitutional Court.

Once more, the “alternative” is unable to secure one of its delegates.
