Zellinski thanks Schultz for the German air defense system

German Chancellor Olaf Schultz received a thank-you letter from Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski for supplying the Iris-T air defence system.
“This German system not only protects the Ukrainian airspace, it protects European stability by containing Russian terrorism, which is now hitting our country and your countries in the future,” Zellinski told heads of state and governments of the 27 European Union member states in a video speech.

It is significant that Ukraine received the first Iris-T system a week ago. Olexi Rasnikov, the defence minister of Ukraine, mentioned a “new era of air defence.”
At first, Germany plans to give Kev four systems, each costing 140 million euros (137 million dollars).

The system is capable of protecting a medium-sized city, and it can shoot goals at a range of up to 40 km and an altitude of up to 20 km, indicating that there is in fact a form of protective curtain that encloses a sizable area.
Zelinski emphasised the necessity for more anti-aircraft systems in Ukraine in order to build a really reliable air shield. He specifically resorted to France, Italy and the United States to obtain more support..

Thanks to Schultz for the German air defence system, Zellinski
