In the tenth round of the Spanish League, Barcelona and its Polish international goal, Robert Lewandowski, stressed the noose over their longtime rivals Real Madrid, the defending champion, by defeating Villarreal 3-0.
The Barcelona trilogy, Lewandowski scored “two goals” in the 31st and 35th minutes, and Ansu Fati in the 38th minute.
After losing 1-3 to Real Madrid’s opponent in the previous round and tying 3-3 with Inter in the Champions League group stage, the Catalan club found its equilibrium again.
With this win, Barcelona improved its standing in the Spanish League to 25 points, three points ahead of Real Madrid, while Villarreal’s standing remained unchanged at 15 points in ninth place.
