Egyptian businessman: We look forward to cooperating with Russian companies to enhance industries in Egypt

During the “Made in Russia” symposium, Wael Rashidi, CEO of the Egyptian “Geders” Consulting Company, stated that the Egyptian side is seeking to work with Russian enterprises to consolidate sectors in Egypt.

In an interview with RT in the framework of the “Made in Russia” forum today, Rashidi said that the aim of the visit and participation in the forum is to explore the Russian market and see the capabilities in this market, and the capabilities of Russian companies, which will help find alternatives to European products in Russia.
He emphasised that Egyptian businesses can find alternatives for things that are hard to buy in Russia.

In reference to the potential areas of business collaboration between Russia and Egypt, he stated that “the past period has great challenges such as the Corona epidemic and economic sanctions against Russia, which affected the movement of shipping and commercial exchange, and today we need to focus on the areas where the two parties will be advantageous.

He emphasised that Egypt is sending a team to the event that comprises businesses from the central heating, oil services, drilling equipment, and information technology sectors, all of which are looking for suitable partners in Russia.

He emphasised that Russian companies can profit from free trade agreements reached between Egypt and other nations by consolidating sectors in Egypt, and that Egyptian companies are searching for joint investment possibilities, whether they are in Egypt or in other countries.

He stated: “Identifying Russian businesses looking to overcome current obstacles and relocate some of their industrial operations to Egypt in collaboration with Egyptian businessmen is one of the goals of the Egyptian delegation’s participation in the Made in Russia forum. This will allow these Russian businesses to use Egypt as a gateway to other external markets.

The International Export Forum “Made in Russia” opened its activities today in Moscow with the goal of introducing foreign businesses to Russian goods and their benefits.
The required steps to promote exporters in Russia will be discussed during the event, as well as the new opportunities available for Russian brands, specifically for goods made in Russia, and the processes of Russia’s external economic cooperation in the current geopolitical environment.
