Greece proposes to Germany and Austria to create an electrical line

The German and Austrian governments have been approached by the Greek government with a proposal to build an electrical line that would supply centre Europe with clean energy directly.
Energy Minister Costas Skarikas stated on Thursday, “It is not a simple undertaking, but there is a big need for green energy in southern Germany, for example, which Greece can supply.
The initial capacity of the proposed line can be three GB and can go across Albania and other Balkan countries.

Greece is already using solar energy, wind energy and water energy in its power mix, and the government said the country has almost doubled its capacity from renewable energy this year to 3. 8 GB.
By 2030, it is intended that renewable energy sources will meet 70% of the world’s electrical needs.

Greece suggests building an electrical cable to Germany and Austria.
