The President of the Spanish League threatens to stop “La Liga”

Javier Tebas, the president of the Spanish League, stated that there is a disruption in Spanish football and asked for a special meeting the next week to attempt to correct the situation.
In the event that the nation’s broken sports law is not fixed, there is a significant chance that Spanish football events may be discontinued.

The new Spanish Sports Law was amended in a number of ways, opening the door for Spanish clubs to compete in the “Super League” as well as in local competitions concurrently.

According to the Spanish newspaper “Cadena Kobe,” Tebas has invited the clubs to a special meeting on Thursday, October 27, in light of the upcoming passage of the Sports Law, which will allow the creation of the European Super League and jeopardise the agreement between “La Liga” and the “CVC” investment fund.

The Spanish League League is concerned that the deal with the “CVC” fund, which would spend roughly two billion euros on teams, will be seriously jeopardised.
According to “Cadena Kobe,” a strike in Spanish football may take place during the 12th round of the Spanish League and the 13th round of the second division if the proposed revisions to the new Spanish Sports Law are not amended by next Thursday.
