The fourth batch of the initiative, which is carried out by the Cultural Development Fund sector at the Traditional Crafts Center in Al-Fustat with the aim of reclaiming traditional and heritage crafts to its position and preserving the Egyptian identity as a crucial axis of sustainable development, has been approved for progress. Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, agreed to this in order to complete the presidential initiative of Egypt.
In frustration, the Cultural Development Fund Sector at the Ministry of Culture announced the opening of the application for the fourth batch of the initiative from the age of 18 to 45 years, to train in one of the initiative’s letter: jewellery, seashell vaccination, ceramics, Khayyam, copper works (inscription – Arkit), and wood dandruff in the traditional crafts centre.
There are two ways to submit: online through the Cultural Development Fund’s website or in person at the headquarters of the crafts centre in Al-Fustat, located at “1 Imam Street Khalaf Al-Aas Mosque in Al-Fustat, Ancient Egypt.” Personal interviews will be conducted to determine who qualifies through a committee. Senior professors and artists are included.
It is important to note that the training is provided over the course of a year by an elite group of highly qualified craftsmen working at the center’s headquarters in addition to professors and specialists from colleges of various arts. The trainees’ work was featured in three of the most prestigious exhibitions dedicated to heritage crafts, including (Our Heritage – Diarna), which was organised by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The “Sanayiya of Egypt” initiative is a resurgence of a wealth in which the nation is full of an inevitable heritage in the various handicrafts, and a new orientation to establish small and micro projects that raise national income, improve individual income, and open up new markets that draw tourists.
