Since 1995, the Hubble telescope has provided images of the columns of creation, but James Web images are more exact and clear.
James Web images, which are not dark like Hubble images, show columns of gas and dust that are 7,000 light years away from Earth and are encircled by many bright stars.
NASA says these images will help astronomers count the numbers of newly discovered stars, and also help to know how the stars are formed..
