Germany Advisor: We will pass this winter together despite stopping Russian gas supplies

Olaf Schultz, the chancellor of Germany, said that despite the interruption of Russian gas supply, he thinks his nation would have enough energy resources for the upcoming months.
We will get through this winter together, Schultz declared today, Thursday, in the German parliament, the “Bundestag,” stressing that the 95% gas tank filling target set for the first of next November had been exceeded.

The German advisor highlighted that the government “is still adhering to our climate targets that have been announced” despite the decision to reinstate coal power plants in the grid.
Schultz at the same time expressed his great gratitude for the savings endeavors made by many citizens and citizens regarding energy, and stressed that everything was done “in order to protect our sensitive infrastructure together.

In a related context, the German counsellor cautioned against the dangers of imposing a cap on gas purchases in Europe, stating that “politically determined prices establish a risk that the producers will sell their gas in other locations.”
It is notable that one of the issues that could spark a disagreement at the upcoming European summit is the maximum gas price that several EU member states require.

Schultz emphasised the need to communicate closely with other gas consumers like Japan and Kuroya “so that we do not become rivals to each other,” as well as the necessity of talking to gas producers about establishing a fair price.
I am confident that nations like the United States of America, Canada, or Norway that are standing with us to support Ukraine have an interest in preventing the price of energy in Europe from rising, he continued.

Advisor to Germany: Despite the disruption of Russian gas supply, we shall survive this winter together.
