The star of Liverpool and former England player Michael Owen acknowledged Mohamed Salah’s contributions to the Reds throughout the current 2022–2023 season.
On Sunday at Anfield, Mohamed Salah scored a goal of the highest quality to lead Liverpool past Manchester City and win the English Premier League’s 11th round.
The Liverpool striker and England said in statements to the British daily “Mirror”: “Well, I think that if I ask any fan of the club to expect who is the top scorer of Liverpool by the conclusion of the season.”
The Liverpool star continued, “I will be very surprised if many say anyone other than Mohamed Salah.
He continued: “Mohamed Salah is a fixed source for scoring goals.
While I would have been shocked when he arrived early and scored all these goals a few years ago, I think the general public stopped doubting his skills a long time ago.”
Owen continued: “So, for me, he is the most stable scorer in the English Premier League, against Manchester City when you need a player who is able to score and take advantage of any opportunity, Mohamed Salah, to give you victory.
“He proved his grit in that game, the fantastic attitude he possesses, Mohamed Salah is still the only player, and if you’re thinking you need a goal, I’m still waiting for Mo to score,” Michael Owen said.
