Saudi Energy Minister: We lost 40 years and we could be like India and China in industry

“The Kingdom has lost 40 years, and today it could be like India and China in the sector of industry,” the Saudi energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman remarked.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said during a news conference about the national industrial strategy unveiled by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman: “I think we have put 40 years, and we might be like India and China in the industry.

The National Industry Strategy is a shared, group effort from which the ego was eliminated, according to the Minister of Energy.
“We create 38 million tonnes in the manufacturing industries, but we only receive 6 million benefits,” he continued. The petrochemical sector was little when the Saudi Basic Industries Company, or SABIC, began.
And Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman added: “The investments will contribute to the establishment of factories to benefit from them in resettlement.

We are glad to live in a nation where we believe that what we will say will be put into action, he concluded.
The National Industry Strategy was unveiled on Tuesday by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who emphasised that the country has all the necessary resources to develop a competitive and sustainable industrial sector.
