The Lebanese Republic’s Presidency confirmed that President Michel Aoun of Lebanon today launched the “Human Academy for Convergence and Dialogue,” noting that Aoun had previously presented the idea at the national and international levels and that it had been approved by the UN in September 2019 through a resolution adopted by its public association, which had the support of 165 out of 167 nations. by being against Israel and the US.
She stated in a statement that during the opening of the “Academy,” President Aoun emphasised that “its idea came from the pluralism that distinguishes Lebanon, the religions he knows, and its doctrines, indicating that through his dealings in Lebanon and abroad, he learned about many groups of people of affiliations Different, explaining that he noticed that they all have the same wishes to live in peace and develop friendships with everyone.”
In reviewing the escalation of crises in Lebanon at the economic, financial, political, and health levels since October 2019 to the present, he stressed that all of these crises hampered the upcoming start of the “Academy” and noted that the large number of nations that voted on the establishment of this project indicates the desire of everyone to converge. And showing that the “school” is intended to be a meeting place for people from all ethnicities, civilizations, and religions.
