Pakistan flight attendant missing for days after landing in Canada

A Pakistani flight attendant who arrived in Canada on Friday has vanished.
On October 14, a Pakistan International Airlines flight from the nation’s capital, Islamabad, to Toronto included Ijaz Shah among its crew.
At 4 p.m. local time, aeroplane PK 781 carrying him touched at at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Shah did not make it to the crew bus taking airline staff members to their hotel following immigration, a PIA spokesperson confirmed to Global News Wednesday.

He added that Shah’s family had been informed. “When he did not report on the return flight, he was reported to concerned authorities.”
Peel Regional Police, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, as well as the Canada Border Services Agency have all been contacted by Global News, but no one has yet responded.
This is not the first time in recent years that a crew member of Pakistan’s national airline, PIA, has vanished in Canada.

According to PIA spokeswoman Khan, this is the third instance of this kind this year. A flight attendant on another PIA flight from Islamabad vanished shortly after touching down in Toronto, according to the local newspaper Dawn.
Another national carrier air hostess this year vanished after taking off for Canada on one occasion.
Khan said PIA has developed a procedure to control these incidences, including surety bonds obtained from the crew sent to Toronto.

Further in-depth investigations are also carried out to ascertain the facts, and if they are found guilty, they are dismissed from the military, he added.

After landing in Canada, a Pakistani flight attendant went missing for days.
