Germany and France intend to implement the minimum global tax on major companies

Germany and France aim to impose a minimal worldwide tax on significant corporations, even if it means breaking with the European Union.

It should be emphasised that Hungary is still preventing the European Union from reaching a unanimous resolution on the implementation of this minimum.

The three ministers warned of the potential negative consequences of Washington’s actions to combat high inflation rates; Habik stated that these measures would encourage companies to leave Europe and move to the United States, “and we cannot enter into times like this in a commercial war, as we are partners even across the Atlantic.”

Lindner, for one, emphasised that Germany and France will not stop working to improve their own competitiveness.
