Officially .. Al -Mashal announces his candidacy for the presidency of the Saudi Football Association

Yasser Al-Meshal, the Saudi Football Association’s president, declared today, Wednesday, that he will formally run for a second term at the top of the organization’s pyramid from 2023 to 2027.
Al-Meshal, who presided over today’s meeting of the federation’s ordinary general assembly, welcomed all other contenders for the job and confirmed his willingness to meet the needs of many member clubs.

As Qusai Al-Fawaz resigned, Al-Misalim won the presidency of the Football Association in June 2019. Under his direction, Saudi football experienced its golden era as the first Saudi squad qualified for the World Cup in Qatar by winning its Asian qualifying group.

The youth team won the Arab Championships for the 2020 and 2022 editions of the Arab Championships, the Saudi Olympic squad won the Asian Cup 2022 under 23 years in Uzbekistan, all the teams made it to the Asian continent finals, and the Olympic team made it to the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Al-Meshal, who is a member of the Asian and International Union’s Disciplinary Committee, is getting ready to run in the AFC elections for one of the FIFA membership seats in Bahrain in the month of February 2023.

Al-Mashal formally declares his candidacy for the position of Saudi Football Association president.
