Manchester United star released on bail after being accused of attempting to rape

Days after being charged with trying to rape, Manchester United player Mason Greenwood was released on bond on Wednesday.
Last week, he accused the 21-year-old of engaging in domineering conduct, attempting to rape, and attacking a girl.
He was sent back to pretrial detention after making an appearance before a Manchester court on Monday.
During a special hearing on Wednesday in a different court in Manchester, the guarantee request was made.

After the hearing, a court spokeswoman announced that Greenwood had been granted bail, subject to the conditions of residency at a certain address and no communication being made with the witnesses, including the complainant.
On November 21, the court will again reject Greenwood, who missed the brief hearing.

The English striker was arrested after broadcasting a video of a young woman with a bleeding face and bruises on her body with the message, “to everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood truly did,” and was held for the first time following the accident in January.
He was detained again on Saturday due to his continued breach of the law after being released on bail since then.

It is noteworthy that from the first hours in which the video appeared, Greenwood was excluded from the training of his team, Manchester United, and the Nike for sports supplies announced the termination of its sponsorship contract.
