American study reveals impact of art in workplace

Cairo, October 19, 2022: A recent study by Brookfield Properties supports the benefits of luxurious workplaces with aesthetically pleasant features. The study also included venues for social or cultural events.
Only 38 percent of those surveyed liked the atmosphere of their offices, but for those with access to cultural, luxury or social events the percentage rose to 63 percent.

According to a US study conducted by Forbes, 41% of respondents claimed their desk was uncomfortable and 37% felt it was badly constructed. These encounters are more likely to be reported by employees who work in unattractive or poorly designed offices.
Only 24% of workers feel inspired by their professions, but when they work in offices with lots of artwork, like paintings, that number rises to 39%.

Overall, just 10% of respondents felt a sense of creative energy, and only 18% claimed their desks helped them to be creative at work. In contrast, 32% of those who worked in environments with colour, artwork, or sculpture reported feeling inspired and creative.

Additionally, 64 percent said that cultural and social events in the office helped them work more effectively, while 69 percent affirmed that having interesting and visually appealing pieces of art in the workplace contributed to their sense of well-being.
Additionally, 77% of respondents indicated they would feel better if their employer routinely hosted entertaining social and cultural events.

American research shows the effects of art in the workplace.
