Myanmar: 26 people were killed and wounded by explosions

After blasts outside a jail in the city of “Rangon,” the ruling military council of Myanmar reported today, Wednesday, that eight persons had been killed and 18 others had been injured.
The council’s media team – in a statement carried by Radio “Chanile News Ashia” in its English spokesperson – said that the explosions targeted a crowd of people who were lined up to hand out parcels to the prisoners in Einsen prison, but it did not refer to the number of these explosions.

According to jail officials, at least three prison employees perished in the explosions, and witnesses claimed that security personnel had sealed off the area around the facility.
