The 74th Frankfurt International Book Fair began its activities, and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture was represented by the Egyptian General Book Authority. A large number of notable publishers, writers, and thinkers from around the world were also present, and Spanish King Philip VI and German President Frank-Valter Steinmeier were present for the opening ceremony.
Ahmed Bahi El -Din Al -Assassi, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority, and a large number of prominent publishers, writers and thinkers from different countries of the world, also participated in the opening ceremony.
In the current session, Spain is participating as an honorary guest of the exhibition along with about 90 other nations.
The Egyptian General Book Authority is taking part in this session with a pavilion to display and advertise its most recent publications as well as to advertise their translation into other languages. It is planned that the authority will also advertise the digital platform for the Cairo International Book Fair, where English is spoken.
The actress is presented by Heba El-Khouly. The United Printing, Publishing and Information Technology Company is an introductory presentation of the digital platform and the efforts made in it, as well as the professional program accompanying the exhibition will be promoted and identified.
The authority will meet with publishing houses concerned with translating Egyptian and Arab thought and creativity from different languages of the world, and the Egypt pavilion offers a catalogue that includes the most notable new titles presented by the authority to visitors Frankfurt exhibits. The authority also participates in a variety of cultural activities and significant events in this great global event.
In order to strengthen the Egyptian identity and introduce its civilizations and creators through the books displayed in the pavilion, the commission’s booth at the Frankfurt Book Fair is decorated with posters for Egyptian civilization, posters for the Cairo International Book Fair, as well as books published by the authority.
The German president emphasised the Frankfurt International Book Fair’s return after the Corona virus while the Spanish king emphasised its significance, pointing out that the number of participating nations in the previous session was significantly lower than those in the current session.
At the Frankfurt Exhibition, the Egyptian Book Authority takes part in cultural and professional events.
