Yesterday, Ukrainian Patrol Police released video showing Kyiv police firing down drones.
Emergency personnel were spotted on Tuesday pulling a body from the wreckage of a building in another part of Kyiv after waves of suicide drone attacks with explosives hit the city’s centre.
The strikes set buildings ablaze, sending people scurrying for shelter or attempting to shoot down the kamikazes – a week after Russia unleashed its most widespread strikes against Ukraine in months.
In recent months, airstrikes on central Kyiv had decreased in frequency. The focused employment of drones, with their bursts reverberating throughout the city, caused fear and frazzled nerves.
According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the deputy director of the president’s office, one of the drones crashed into a residential building and killed three people.
Among the targets were energy facilities.
