Iran pledges to provide Russia with patch drones and missiles for the Ukraine war

In a move that is sure to anger the United States and other Western nations, Tehran has promised to give Russia more drones and surface-to-surface missiles, according to two officials and two Iranian diplomats who spoke to Reuters on Tuesday.

The agreement was reached on October 6, 2022, when Muhammad Mukhbar, the first vice president, travelled to Moscow with two senior members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and a representative of the Supreme National Security Council to discuss the delivery of weaponry.

Russian officials requested more Iranian-made ballistic missiles with increased accuracy, particularly the Fateh and Dhu al-Faqar missile family, according to an Iranian ambassador with knowledge of the situation.
While a Western official confirmed this, saying that there is an agreement between Iran and Russia to provide short -range ballistic missiles -land, including the Zulfiqar missile.

A triangle drone with 136 wings that is employed as an attack air plane and for suicide missions is one of the drones that Iran pledged to provide (Kamikazi). The aircraft is equipped with a tiny warhead, which detonates upon contact.
Also, Fateh 110 and the vertebra are a short-range Iranian ballistic ballistic missile that is capable of hitting targets at distances between 300 km and 700 km.

The Iranian ambassador, on the other hand, criticised the Western officials’ claims that the transfer of weaponry contravenes UN Security Council Resolution 2015.
