The UAE -Saudi Business Council holds its first meeting in Dubai

In front of more than 40 businessmen and women from the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Al-Owais, Vice President of the UAE Chambers Union and President of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his pride and welcomed everyone to the first meeting of the UAE joint Saudi Business Council.

Al-Owais, who presided over the Emirati side of the council’s activities, noted that the UAE-Saudi Business Council’s first session, which was held today in Dubai, is a new building block in the storied bilateral relations between the two friendly nations, which are experiencing accelerated development in all areas. Abdul Hakim Al-Khaldi, the head of the Saudi delegation in the council, stressed that the Saudi delegation in the joint business council shares the same attention and desire to open new horizons for work, cooperation, and joint investment with the Emirati business sectors. He expressed hope that this meeting’s outcomes will result in the formulation of shared ideas, perceptions, and projects, noting that the meetings of the UAE-Saudi Business Council set a good foundation for future collaboration.

The necessity for the UAE and Saudi private sectors to continue achieving further actions and efforts to support connections between all institutions and firms in the two countries was stressed during the meeting after a review of the council’s future mechanism and map.
