News from Al-Madinah: According to Agence France-Presse, Lafarge Cement was fined $778 million in the US for “supporting terrorist organisations” in Syria.
The company “Lafarge” and the “Holcim” mother group announced that “the French giant Lafarge Cement Company will pay a fine of 778 million dollars to the US Department of Justice for the support of terrorist groups in Syria during the Syrian civil war.

Lafarge and its subsidiary, “Lafarge of Cement Syria,” which was resolved, “agreed to recognise culpability on conspiracy to offer material assistance to particular foreign terrorist organisations in Syria from August 2013 to October 2014,” according to the two firms.
