Canada to fund satellites that’ll help monitor and respond to climate change

In order to help launch a number of satellites that will aid in monitoring and addressing climate change, Canada is offering new financing.
The Atmosphere Observing System is run by NASA, and Canada will donate $200 million, according to Innovation, Science, and Industry Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne.
The satellites are to examine how clouds, air movements, precipitation and atmospheric particles affect climate change – a major source of uncertainty in climate models.

According to Champagne, the multi-satellite project will enhance the ability to predict extreme weather, model the climate, and monitor calamities.
In 2028 and 2031, the satellites are scheduled for launch.
Along with the government, thirteen Canadian universities are involved in the programme.

Canada will provide funding for satellites to monitor and address climate change.
