The Golden Ball winner for 2022 and Real Madrid star Karim Benzema denied discussing Al-Maraneji with fellow countryman and Paris Saint-Germain striker Killian Mbappe.
Speaking to “Radioestadio” after receiving the Golden Ball award from the French publication France Football, Benzema said: “Mbappe complimented me before the event. We did not talk about Real Madrid, what he does is his own story.
”
“Am I a cross between Ronaldo and Zidane?” he continued. I’m attempting to draw some benefit from both.
“It was an honour for me to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, it is a monster,” he said. “Since he left Real Madrid, I was excited to do more on the field. I had a desire to be better the day he left Real Madrid.”
Real Madrid is without a doubt the best club in the world, in my opinion.
Benzema: I avoided discussing Real Madrid with Mbappe.
