The Yemeni Leadership Council: The Houthis thwart the hopes of the people with peace

Rashad Al-Alimi, the president of the Yemeni Presidential Command Council, emphasised that the Houthi militia “thwarted the people’s hopes of achieving peace and stability, continuing and expanding the truce, and spent the salaries of the oppressed in the areas under its control on repression and looting” after the extension of the armistice in Yemen stalled despite the efforts of the international community.

Al-Alimi made reference to the need for peace and security in his nation in a tweet posted on his Twitter account today, Tuesday, and he emphasised that the Presidential Council and the government would strive “tirelessly to answer the requirements of the Yemenis.”
