Tunisia: The Climate Summit in Sharm El -Sheikh is a necessity to adapt to climate changes

The 27th session of the Conference on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh from November 6 to 18, was highlighted by Tunisia’s Minister of the Environment, Leila Al-Sheikhoui Al-Mahdawi.

The minister stated that the United Nations Climate Summit (COP27) provides an opportunity to highlight Tunisia’s priorities in particular, as well as those of African and Arab nations in general, particularly in the area of adjusting to the repercussions and growing effects of climate change, particularly on water and food security, on health, and on the economic sectors most closely associated with this phenomenon.

The minister continued by saying that the significance of the summit is also derived from what is necessary for reducing the effects of climate change, from developing knowledge and technologies and adopting in harmony with nature, and from the significance of the necessary credits and investments to finance climate programmes in this area.

Tunisia: In order to prepare for climate change, the Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Summit is essential.
