6 people were killed after a Russian fighter fell on a building near Ukraine

Shortly after taking off on Monday, a Russian fighter plane crashed into a residential building in the southern city of Yesk, causing a portion of the structure to catch fire and killing six people.
Local authorities were cited by Russian news sources as claiming that six more people are still missing and 19 more were hurt in the collision.
A slender stretch of the Azov Sea divides Yesk from the southern Ukraine territory under Russian control.

The Sukhoi Su-34 fighter bomber was seen exploding as it descended into the structure in photos taken by the Zvezda Military TV channel and shared online. According to Russian news organisations, the plane’s pilots leapt.
The governor of the Krasnodar Vinjamin Condiev region denied local reports that the plane was loaded with ammunition.

He reportedly told reporters, “If this were the case, only half of the building would remain here,” according to the Russian Information Agency.
A total of 250 individuals, including 40 children, were reportedly evacuated after the tragedy, according to the police.
The incident happened during a training sortie from a military air base, according to the Russian media outlet owned by Russia.

The pilots reported an engine igniting on takeoff, and the flight fuel was ignited when the aircraft impacted with the structure, according to the Ministry of Defense, which was quoted in the article.
The accident is the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation by the Russian Investigation Committee, which is concerned with major offences.
The Kremlin claimed that President Vladimir Putin had asked the Ministers of Health and Emergency to go to the area and ordered that the victims receive all required aid.

After a Russian fighter struck a building close to Ukraine, 6 people died.
