Tomorrow morning, the Lebanese parliament, led by Nabih Berri, will have a procedural public session for the parliament to elect the secretaries of the secret and three commissioners, followed by a legislative session.

According to Article 32 of the Lebanese Constitution, the Council convenes twice a year in two ordinary contracts. The first contract begins on Tuesday, which will lease the fifteenth of March, and its sessions last until the end of May. The second contract begins on Tuesday, which will accuse the fifteenth of October, and its sessions last until the end of the year. Article 44 of the Constitution mandates that the Council will be elected in the first round of voting in the second contract, which begins on Tuesday.

The “Banking Secret” bill, which was approved by the House of Representatives earlier this year and to which the President of the Republic responded in protest against some of its provisions, will be discussed at a legislative public session that is scheduled to take place after the elections on the same day.

The Lebanese government requested a loan from the World Bank in the amount of $150 million to conduct an emergency response initiative to secure wheat supplies. The Council also examines a draught law pertaining to that loan.
