The 2022 Booker Prize for the International Novel was first announced at an event in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. The six books that made the short list were chosen for the prize, which has a tangible award value estimated at 50,000 pounds.
Four writers competed against each other on the Booker Award short list, which featured six novels that were in control of the authors. The long list featured a contest between seven female authors and six works.
The ceremony is witnessing a speech by the singer and writer Dua Lipa, who will receive a letter about her love for reading, and the late Hillary Mantle, who won the poker twice, will be honored.
