Al-Madinah News: The Iranian-backed Houthi militia’s “finance network” is being targeted and disrupted, the Yemeni government urged the international community today, Monday.
The Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak warned of the danger of the Houthi militia importing oil through fake companies and using this in money laundering and financing of war.
During a meeting with the Dutch ambassador to Yemen, Peter Dirk Hove, Bin Mubarak asserted that the Houthis’ justifications for refusing to extend the cease-fire and their efforts to promote peace are actually justifications for their efforts to mislead the public in the regions where their militia-supported militia operates.
According to the official Yemeni News Agency, Bin Mubarak and Hoff spoke about Yemen’s appreciation for the concern that the Netherlands and all of Europe have for finding a peaceful settlement in the nation as well as efforts to extend the cease-fire and broaden its provisions.
The Houthis’ anger with efforts to reach peace and their appetite for war and slaughter, according to the Yemeni Foreign Minister, revealed their aggressive and criminal nature.
He made note of the fact that the Houthi militia has continued to “loot the resources of the port of Hodeidah and its refusal to allocate these resources to pay the salaries of employees in its areas of control, whether after the Stockholm agreement or in implementation of the proposal of the extended armistice submitted by the UN envoy. This confirms that the Houthis from the war constitutes a barrier to its acceptance of peace.

In turn, the Dutch ambassador affirmed his country’s continued support for Yemen and made every effort to contribute to resolving the crisis and bringing peace.
