“Islamic cooperation” calls for supporting the right to development to eliminate poverty

As a starting point for global efforts to alleviate poverty, which prevents people from receiving their rights and dues, the Independent Human Rights Authority of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation urged on today, Monday, to support the right to development.

According to the Saudi News Agency (SPA), on the “International Day for the Elimination of Poverty – 2022,” the authority confirmed that poverty is a major factor in human rights violations and expressed its deep concern about the payment of the Kofid -19, which will cause an additional 119 million to 119 million people to live in poverty.

The authority reiterated its call for the adoption of a legally enforceable agreement on the right to development and the creation of just and inclusive society in order to end poverty and safeguard all human rights.

In order to end poverty, “Islamic cooperation” advocates promoting the right to development.
