The Iraqi Ministry of Interior disputed the resignation of its minister, Othman Al-Ghanimi, today, Thursday, after rumours spread that he had resigned from the Mustafa Al-government. Kazemis
She stated in a press statement, “It appears that the Minister of Interior’s triumphs and unwavering devotion to serving this nation have inflamed the opponents of success, and they have begun to disseminate utterly fake news.”
She went on to explain that the story of the minister’s resignation is false, and that his sovereignty is going about his business as normal, and that such false information was spread by some social networking sites and the media in an attempt to shuffle the papers.
She stated that the appropriate departments in the Ministry of Interior maintain the right to respond and take action against anybody who promotes or attempts to propagate these false rumours.
