According to Sky News Arabia, the European Union issued sanctions against the Iranian “Ethics Police” today, Monday.
As a result of the girl, Muhsa Amini, passing away while being held by the police, protests broke out in Iran, according to the authorities.
Following the ethics police officers’ arrest in Tehran last week, which led to protests there as well as in the Kurdistan region where the deceased girl was from and other places, Muhsa Amini, 22, passed away after going into a coma.
The Iranian “Ethics Police” is subject to sanctions from the European Union.
