The Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water, Dr. Walid Fayyad, was welcomed by Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, while he was in Cairo.
During the conference, it was verified that Egypt was committed and ready to pump natural gas to Lebanon as soon as the necessary formalities for commencing to export Egyptian gas and receive it in Lebanese territory were finished.
Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla reaffirmed Egypt’s ongoing readiness to offer the Lebanese brothers all forms of support, assistance, and experience in a variety of petroleum activities within the framework of the two countries’ strong ties and relations, which support the ongoing political leadership of relations with sister Lebanon.
The Egyptian state leadership and people were acknowledged and appreciated by the Lebanese Minister of Energy for their continued support of the Lebanese state, particularly at that critical juncture.
Dr. Magdy Jalal, the head of the Egyptian Holding Company for Natural Gas, was present at the conference.
Petroleum Minister: Following the necessary steps, they are prepared to pump gas to Lebanon right away.
