With Russian participation, the Pakistani ambassador to Moscow reveals the date of the construction of the “Pakistani torrent”

Shawkat Ali Khan, the Pakistani ambassador to Moscow, voiced his expectation that the “Pakistani” gas pipeline’s (Pakistan Stream’s) construction will start in 2023.
The Pakistani diplomat also stated that his nation is considering purchasing Russian LNG.

The “Pakistani” gas pipeline is expected to link the infrastructure of liquefied gas stations in the ports of Karachi and Guadar in southern Pakistan with electrical stations and industrial facilities in the palaces (Punjab) area in the north of the country.
The pipeline will have a length of more than one thousand kilometres and a yearly capacity of up to 12.3 billion cubic metres, according to the project.

The agreement was signed between the governments of Russia and Pakistan on the implementation of this gas pipeline project in October 2015, and the document is required to use Russian materials, technologies and services.
