Jeff Bezos attends the screening of ‘The Rings of Power.’

On Monday night, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of the Amazon company, attended the premiere of The Rings of Power, the most recent instalment of the The Lord of the Rings (The Lord of the Rings) television series, which was reported as having the highest production budget in history. It was more over $1 billion.

Jeff Bezos, the founder of the e-commerce behemoth that has entered the streaming market, has expressed interest in the series, which debuts on Amazon on September 2.
The Lord of the Rings universe created by author J. R. R. Tolkien was the subject of this huge adaptation, which was started about five years ago after Amazon Prime paid $250 million for the rights.
Amazon plans to divide the show into five seasons, each lasting ten hours.

Jeff Bezos joined the cast and creators of the show on Monday night at Culver Studios in Los Angeles, where the first two episodes debuted in front of a massive light display featuring dozens of illuminated parades.
The show’s producer, Lindsey Webber, referred to the $1 billion budget as a really catchy title that people love to talk about but promised viewers that they would be able to see the outcome plainly on television.

On the red carpet, she explained to AFP that the production of the series’ five seasons was responsible for its enormous cost.
She remarked, referencing blockbusters from Hollywood’s most recognisable studios, “When you compare the expense of shooting a feature film, were in for a pretty fantastic bargain.”

The Second Age, a fictitious historical era in Tolkien’s imagined universe about which he provided relatively little detail, is when The Rings of Power takes place, some 4,000 years before Peter Jackson’s trilogy of films and the original novels.
The actors of the series is also not well known internationally.
Fans of the series will recognise Morvid Clark and Robert Aramayo as younger versions of the characters Elrond and Galadriel. (AFP)\s.
